Kiranpreet Parmar, MD
Dr. Kiranpreet Parmar, MD is a gastroenterologist at GI Medical Services in Staten Island, NY and has over 21 years' experience. During consultations, he explains patients’ conditions and prepares individualized treatment plans. He also provides follow-up care whenever necessary. Dr. Parmar believes in holistic care and offers lifestyle and diet counseling to support recovery and prevent future problems. He aims to help everyone achieve positive and lasting health outcomes and enjoy a good quality of life. Dr. Parmar earned his medical degree from M.S. Ramaiah Medical College. He completed his fellowship in gastroenterology at the University of Texas Medical Branch where he served as Chief Resident. He is affiliated with Northwell Health where he served as Chief Resident. He is certified in gastroenterology from the American Board of Internal Medicine.
Danial Daneshvar, MD
Dr. Danial Daneshvar is a highly trained physician specializing in gastroenterology and hepatology. All his postgraduate training including Gastroenterology and Hepatology Fellowship, Chief Medical Residency, and Internal Medicine Residency, has been at Northwell Health at Staten Island University Hospital in Staten Island, New York.
He served as Chief Fellow, Chief Resident and Teaching Associate at Hofstra School of Medicine, New York, where he instructed internal medicine residents and medical students. Additionally, he was the Simulation Lab Instructor for Gastroenterology fellows and internal medicine/emergency medicine residents at Staten Island University Hospital. Dr. Daneshvar has presented and published multiple research projects at local, national, and international conferences and journals and won multiple prestigious awards. He has a strong passion for patient care and strives to deliver the highest quality of care to his patients.
Seida Velija, FNP
A dedicated family nurse practitioner, Ms. Seida Velija currently offers her services at GI Medical Services, where she welcomes patients in Staten Island, NY. Ms. Velija's education and training allow her to assist physicians in treating and managing a wide range of acute as well as chronic health concerns. To help patients receive the best possible care, Ms. Velija ensures that she listens to patients attentively, understands their symptoms, and takes a detailed medical history before recommending a suitable treatment plan.
Janna Adler, NP
Janna Adler completed her Master's of Science at the Long Island University and she is a licensed NYS Adult Geriatrics Nurse Practitioner with over 20 years of nursing experience. She also has taught as an adjunct professor at the College of Staten Island (CSI) in the past 11 years and is currently teaching nursing students at Touro University School of Nursing.
She started her career as a staff nurse in Maimonides Medical Center in Brooklyn, NY and has worked in many areas such as medical, surgical, urology, orthopedic, vascular care. In addition, she has worked in a capacity of a team leader and assistant nurse manager.
Currently, she is practicing as a GI nurse practitioner. Her duties include assessing and managing treatment plans in collaboration with physicians, working with patients suffering from inflammatory bowel diseases (Crohn’s disease and ulcerative colitis), IBS, GERD and liver disease, evaluating and testing for lactose, fructose and bacterial overgrowth and scheduling procedures such as endoscopy and colonoscopy.
Janna possesses strong clinical skills enhanced by natural ability to build rapport with patients and families. She follows evidence-based guidelines blended with clinical experience, personal observation, and intuition. She provides high-quality care and ensures positive and lasting outcomes.
Her primary clinical practice philosophy is to advocate, teach and partner with her patients to achieve and restore their health goals and promote better quality of life.
